No advertising and no third-party scripts, fonts, maps or analytics: every file comes from this site.
City suggestion: on the home and qibla pages, your browser asks /api/near for the listed city nearest to the approximate location our host derives from your IP address, only for visitors in the countries this site covers. The answer is a city name and a confidence level; nothing is stored, no cookie is set, and the response is never cached. It is only ever offered as a question: we never redirect you or change the language.
Your location: “Use my exact location” and the qibla compass run in your browser. Coordinates are never sent to us or anyone else; only the city you confirm is kept, on your device.
Local storage: we remember your digit preference, saved city (the one you confirm or last open; “Forget my city” clears it), language choice and a dismissed language suggestion on your device only. Clear it any time in your browser settings.
Server logs: our host may keep standard access logs (IP address, page, time) for security, deleted after a short period.
The mosque widget runs in a sandboxed iframe and sets no cookies on the host site.
